Reporting, Writing & Editing Seminars

Sharpening the skills and refreshing the spirits of talented journalists is a primary achievement of Poynter seminars and conferences.

Reporters, producers, editors, and teachers come prepared to learn and to share ideas and experiences for creating great stories. You'll hear a wealth of best practice examples and case studies and develop your skills in the human side of editing called ³coaching.² You'll learn in a supportive and productive atmosphere. The result? You'll find new and better ways to conceive story ideas, gather and organize information, and write and produce stories that help citizens better understand their world.

You can expect to be challenged, and to engage in inspiring talk and laughter. You can expect to be encouraged to reach for the highest standards of quality and professionalism. And you can expect to return to work charged with a new sense of power and promise.
