B-Roll
Online
Television
photojournalists looking for tips on how to get that perfect
shot or how to make sure their gear works when covering
a blizzard will find B-Roll
Online to be a website well worth bookmarking.
This
site is maintained by Kevin Johnson, a
27-year-old television news photographer at WVEC-13
(ABC) in Norfolk, Va.
All
sorts of handy resources are found here, from constantly
updated job listings to tips and tricks of the trade.
What
makes this site work are the ideas, stories, and suggestions
from working photographers. There also is a salary chart
showing high and low pay rates in each market. The message
board is well worth monitoring, too.
